Pleiad History

Pleiad was founded in 1999 in Perth, Scotland. In 2003, the US office was opened. In the USA, Pleiad is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 2010, the European headquarters moved to Stirling, Scotland.

In the early years, Pleiad's main focus was on managing clinical trials for medical device manufacturers. After several successful trials of ophthalmic diagnostic devices, we realized that we had a depth of experience in ophthalmology that would be appreciated by all types of ophthalmic product manufacturers. Currently approximately 50% of our ophthalmic studies are of medical devices or diagnostics, with the rest being trials of pharmaceutical products.
